Compose, arrange and design soundscapes that bring stories to life… 

  

Sylvain, attracted very early by music, began the piano at the age of 4 in the Lyon region, his hometown. He will quickly be interested in various musical styles (classical, jazz, rock, pop etc…) which will bring him his ability to change and mix different musical genres. 

 

He begins to turn to composition and arrangement as an autodidact, listening to and analyzing the slightest note, the slightest sound, while training alongside computer musical composition techniques and seeking to obtain the most realistic instrument timbres. possible by sound mixtures, both for rock compositions and for symphony orchestra. 

 

In 1998 he joined the ESRA group in Paris, where he completed his training by integrating music into image with the production of various short films. 

 

In 2001, Sylvain began working in recording studios first as a sound assistant alongside sound engineers such as Godwin Logie(Genesis,Bob Marley,Police,Eurythmics…) WhereAbdelghani Torqui. Then sound engineer with artists likeCharlie Couture,Leo,Ahmed Muici(the 10 Commandments),Frank Ash,Takfarinas,Norbert Krief(Trust, Johnny Hallyday),Dan Inger,Jean-Luc Reichmann, or, among others,cherif kheddamWhereAllahoua. 

 

Sylvain will produce compositions and arrangements on some of his collaborations and will accompany these same artists on stage as a pianist / keyboardist on stages such as theOlympia, theZenith(Paris, Lilles) or atconvention center in Lyon. 

 

It is in 2012 that Sylvain will integrate as an orchestrator, composer of stage music and director, a team of creation of musicals, withFred ColasandGuillaume Beaujolais. From this new collaboration will be born the shows:Kid Mansion: Curse of the Pharaoh, andHansel and Gretel the Musical, staged byDavid Rosen, orRobin Hood, the legend or almost. Shows still being performed since their creation in Paris (Olympia, 13th Art, Palais des Glaces...) and on tour in France and abroad. 

 

He will join a new creative team withAlexis MeriauxandMagali Gobletas Co-composer and arranger for the production ofAnastasia, the musical, a show to be held in 2017 at the Casino Barrière in Lilles. He also signs the arrangements and compositions of incidental music for a new show which will see the light of day in 2019 at the Funambule Montmartre in collaboration withFred Colas: The little Mermaid. 

 

From all these shows will be born collaborations with artists likeAnais Delva,Jeremy Amelin,Alexandre FaitrouniWhereLeovanie Raud. 

 

At the same time, Sylvain meetsEugenie Soulard, with whom he will work as co-composer and arranger-director for two shows at the La Ruche Gourmande cabaret:Mad Daydreams, andOn the other side of the mirror. He also signs the arrangements on songs byJulien Salviafor a show at Parc Astérix as well as the main song of the musical filmA Song for Louise.
